And while we're talking about education...

This article from Edutopia isn't new, but this is the first time I've seen it.

"Mommy, where do school textbooks come from?"

(Red-faced, stammering) "I'll explain it when you're a little older, dear."

WOW. I was in the public school sector for 11 years and I learned more about how textbooks were written by reading this. I am flabbergasted. I knew they were poorly written and made so that they cost alot but I had no idea how poorly or how expensive.
